- Ministry of Defence (MOD) Sanctuary Awards:
Babcock scooped two of the four awards which recognise
sustainability performance across the military estate:

- Environment and Sustainability Manager, Robert Tolley, won the
Individual Achievement category
- A joint Defence Infrastructure Organisation (DIO) and Debut
(Babcock's joint venture with Lend Lease) won the
Sustainability Project Award
- Network Rail Partnership Awards: Babcock
won the 'Investing in People' award for our successful
apprenticeship training delivery for the company
- The Institute of Motor Industry awarded
Babcock a Platinum Award recognising our commitment to skills
development in the automotive training sector
- Babcock's training business has been awarded the
Investors in People Gold Award, the highest
accolade awarded by the IiP, achieved by less than 1% of companies
inspected
- Emergency Service Awards - 'Supplier of the Year'
award: for delivering improved efficiency and operational
capability to the Metropolitan Police Service's vehicle fleet that
travels over 63 million miles each year
- Education Investor: 'Supplier to the Education Sector'
award was presented to Babcock's education business which
was described as: "quite simply the most innovative school
improvement service in the UK".
- The British Institute of Facilities Management
named Babcock as the winner of the 'Public Sector Excellence in
Facilities Management' award for our support of the Ministry of
Defence's estate via the Regional Prime Contract East

- Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA)
Awards:

- Babcock's Airports business was awarded the RoSPA
President's Award, recognising ten consecutive Gold Awards
for occupational health and safety
- For the fifth consecutive year, the Infrastructure business
received a RoSPA industry 'Sector Award'. This
year, they were 'Commended' in the Facilities Management Sector
Awards, which recognise outstanding health and safety performance
in this industry
- RoSPA Gold awards were also won by Babcock's
Nuclear business, the Power business and the UK Power Networks
project
- In the British Safety Council's International Safety
Award Scheme, Babcock scooped a collection of awards
recognising our operations at:

- Dounreay - through joint venture Dounreay Site
Restoration Limited (DSRL)
- The Infrastructure business
- Park Royal, Camberwell, Bardon and Gosport (Mobile Assets)
- Severn Park and Cardiff Gate (specialist fire fighting training
facilities within Education and Training)
- Babcock's nuclear business won a Jacob's President's
Award in the 'Construction Management' category for our
safety performance at AWE Aldermarston
