Babcock owns and operates global broadcast infrastructure that transmits over 1,000 hours of short-wave and medium-wave broadcasts every day, linking broadcasters to their audiences worldwide.
We have made significant investment in our pioneering global distribution system, which offers our customers the fully scalable media and converged IP solution they need for distributing their content; all managed from our state-of-the-art Media Management Centre.
In Asia, Babcock employs 29 people in the Nakhom Sawan province in Northern Thailand where it operates the BBC Asia relay station.
Through a contract with NHK, the Japanese state broadcaster, Babcock broadcasts 10 hours of shortwave daily into Europe, the Middle East, North Africa and Asia.
Defence
Babcock offers engineering support services, information and knowledge management, programme management, in-service support and specialist analysis to customers in the Asian defence arena.
