Babcock has the capability to deliver support services in the education, training, defence and nuclear sectors across the Middle East and North Africa.
Babcock has a Regional Head Office in Abu Dhabi and is keen to develop strong relationships and partnerships with armed forces; police forces; government departments, particularly relating to energy and education, and private sector organisations operating in these areas.
In Saudi Arabia, Babcock is a partner in the joint venture VT CADER Saudi Limited which will address education and vocational opportunities following the Government’s announcement of plans to build new schools, colleges and universities to meet the predicted population expansion. This will include: improving teaching and training methodologies; further development of teachers and increased use Information Communications Technology.
In Oman, Babcock operates as Airwork Technical Services LLC (ATS), working with the Oman Royal Air Force to deliver;
- Technical Support Services - the provision of manpower for all aspects of aircraft maintenance related activities including: quality assurance, safety at work and on-the-job-training and mentoring of technicians.
- Defence Supplies (Logistics) - the provision of equipment and spares, repairs, calibration and other services.
- Technical Training - the training of managers, and instructors who carry out course design, accreditation, quality assurance and instruction in the Air Force Training College.
